ABOUT US
Colorado Signature Homes was founded in 1998 by Richard VanSchaardenburg, after retiring to Colorado. Richard started out as a custom home builder in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois in the early 1970s. He soon became one of the areas premeir builders, and an idustry leader. Serving two terms as the local home builders association president, President of the Home Owners Warranty Corp., and on the Executive Board of the Illinois Home Builders Association.
In the 1990s after moving to Chicago, he served as President of Town and Country Homes, Inc. Then serving as Chairman and President of Lexington Homes, Inc., Chicago's largest residential Builder, before retiring in 1995 at an early age.
Colorado Signature Homes has been built on the foundation of communication and trust. Building a custom home is a detailed and complex process. Each year we work hard at improving our process, quality and customer satisfaction. We've invested the finest software, to manage the entire building process. This allows us to track and produce acurate costs to build your home.
Trust is another key element to the success of the client/builder
relationship. As such, we believe in and adhere to an “open book” policy.
Where other builders might lure you in with false promises and expectations,
we believe in laying everything on the table before
we enter into a relationship. Therefore, all of our estimates are based on
actual quotes and previous experience and are itemized so that the customer
knows exactly what they’re paying for. No hidden costs, no hidden fees. We
want to design and build your dream home, but just as importantly we want to
do it within your budget.
We may lose some clients on the front end because we don’t always tell them
what they want to hear with regards to the estimated costs of their home,
but we would rather paint a realistic picture up front, than deal with it
when it becomes too late. We’ve found that our clients really appreciate
this honest approach to doing business and we wouldn’t have it any other
way. |
